Things changed when my workplace shifted to Trivandrum, where I went to learn the keyboard. Started creating melodies in Carnatic Raagas. An experiment with Hindolam graduated to a full song with orchestral elements and it became a finished song with voice of famous singer G. Venugopal. It was well appreciated and it gave further strength to me to continue creating other songs.
So my influential guru was Salil Chowdhury. But can’t avoid few names like G. Devarajan, Johnson Master and Raveendran who enriched all Keralites with their music in popular films. All these masters were my role models.
