The music and entertainment industry is all about survival. It is a place where record labels want to own and control the destiny of artists and their God-given talents, while those that feels tired of being enslaved are revolting the best way they can, going independent to create and own their lives.

One such indie artists is Jubilee, a fearless and dedicated indie artist project that is giving the middle finger to the corporate labels out there, putting out catchy music and maintaining their music label.

Jubilee’s latest record “Peaches” is an excellent masterpiece that reflects not just the physical beauty of the singer and the other members that make up the project but also her artistic prowess. Here is something about Jubilee.

Who is Jubilee?

Jubilee is the stage name of Gia Cezar, a Brazillian-born American artist that has build a name for herself in the pop genre.

Jubilee is the founder and CEO of a record and production label called “Common Luxury LLC,” which is supported by her brother, Jordan Cezar. The company enable Jubilee and her brother to produce and own the artworks, movies and music they have planned since when they were children. Jubilee is the first release coming from this firm and it sets a high standard for what is to be expected from future projects.

A Look At The Single “Peaches”

I wasn’t much surprise as the track starts to play exuding the sound bars of the salsa and samba vibes typical of Brazilian music. The song features high-class textural and spatial qualities from the starting of the track, which puts the listener a bit on the edge, waiting for what is to come next.

Well, what follows after a brief pause in between melody and vocals was a small tweak and tiny variation here and there, not that powerful progression that will take your breath away. Nonetheless, one can still feel the underlining mechanics of the song registering strongly on your hearing and understanding ability.

No doubt, “Peaches” resonate with Brazilian cultural rendition blending into the genuine American pop tradition as evident in the electronically locked-in rhythms and minimalistic absorbing crisp synths.

The lyrics are short, inviting and the harmonics are highly glossed with strong vocals to deliver a stellar performance.

While “Peaches” doesn’t deliver much like the old school, one-way bus ride pop song capable of making the top charts, there is this charming personality to it that reminds one of a place in heaven. The synth and percussive arrangements bore an impressive distinction that easily contradicts the song’s simple art cover.

If Jubilee continues to bring the harmony that she brings with her vocals to compliment her self-confidence and sensual qualities, even the sky would not be her limit in other future projects.
