Losk33 Lord Have Mercy Single Review

Rap music is part of a big culture; hip hop culture, and no one does it better than the men that proceed straight out of the street. Losk33 is one of them.

As someone who follows rap music, I’m particularly interested in the underrated cities because they produce unbelievable emerging talents. For Virginia, it’s been quite impressive as of late. A talent like Losk33 shows that the state is making a sound impression on the hip hop sector of the music industry. All the artists blossoming out of Virginia possess incredible skills and distinctive sounds. Losk33 is one of the latest uprising artists that is roaring his way up the fame ladder. In his latest single tagged “Lord Have Mercy,” Losk33 demonstrates his excellent lyrical lemonade of raw talent with a grasp on reality.

Born With A Passion For Rap

Losk33 is one of those few singers you can say were born to sing. From the tender age of 13, he was already playing different types of instruments. Hugely influenced by some of the best living rap legends like Jeezy, T.I, and DMX, and his cousin’s rap, Losk33 exhibit the same realist passion in this single.

Lord Have Mercy: What Makes It Unique

The Lord Have Mercy song is lined with cinematically and attention-grabbing rhyming words that carry big winds of passion, flawless detail, and a superb hefty and reckless dose of realism that’s in every aspect relatable. The track has a slightly distorted, super grimy 808 productions that sweep you right off your musical loving feet. The vibe is catchy, and I love how the boy was able to deliver a balance between authentic street rap and catchy vibes. No wonder he described his craft as a “Testimonial Turn-up” music—referring to his ability to stay in the middle of what is needed (quality and multi-versatility) and what is real (the street code) while providing a dancing theme altogether.

Watching the video, it’s clear that this song is unapologetically gangster from the beginning to the end, with guns and money displayed throughout the song. The beat gives that cringy and murderous feel to the song. Shot in an open street, the video has no special makeup to it; no girls with bikinis dancing half-naked; no club lights, whatever. It was just a typical street, old-fashioned setting that paints a picture of reality drawn from situational and personal experience. The setting for the video cleverly and realistically depicts the area where Losk33 lives. It is a place well-known for its drug and violent crimes and is nicknamed “Bad Newz.”

Losk33 vocals were raw, matching the hard vibe and adrenaline that make up the song. The lyrics were decisively rugged with deep emotions and strong verses that define his electrifying rapping style. The musical arrangement is groovy, and the collaboration with Foogiano makes the track more exquisite. With its infused chubby bass couple with the engaging lyrics, the soundscape creates a hypnotic feel that compels anyone to listen to the end. Digitally, the rendition carries that new-age rap phenomenon, and lyrically, the storylines deliver an impressive performance. He thanks some of those personal anecdotes; Lord Have Mercy offers a refreshing and real essence as a rap song.
