Vshali Sanas is a Singer-songwriter from Mumbai, India. She has studied Indian Classical and Western Contemporary music since 2012 and 2015 respectively. She is now based in Los Angeles, continuing with her studies in Music at the California College of Music. Her specific genres are Indian, R&B, Pop and Soul.
1. ) Please tell us about being in the USA & do you miss Mumbai?
Being in the U.S. is amazing! It makes me feel closer to my dreams everyday! I miss Mumbai so so much! It is my home; where I belong!
2.) Did you always have a business mind & the drive to succeed?
As far back as I remember, I always had a business mind in anything I see. I always had this need/craving for innovation and success. I still want to explore so much more and help people, specifically women through my work!
3.) When did you know you wanted to live in the USA?
My music and my nomadic mind got me here! After high school I always felt that the world needs to see me 😉 (haha) and so I started with the other parts world and eventually the U.S.! But my heart has always been in Mumbai, India.
4.) How did you come up with the new biz concept for your businesses?
My concept always revolves around sports, mainly Football (soccer). I always played a lot of sports since the school days, eventually focusing on Football (soccer) and when I was in the process of my Business management studies, I started thinking about sports as business. I hope it achieves its milestones!
5.) What are your greatest challenges as a young entrepreneur and artist?
Somewhere, I always felt a need of a guidance even though I am very independent. It’s just good to know different perceptions as well as the initial investments.
6.) In your opinion, what is your greatest strength in both as well?
All of these years I have realized my strength of initiation. Its important to ACT on your dreams! I believe I always like to take that step ahead, no matter what! Music just happened the same way too. One day I just decided I want to explore this side and here I am. So yes, INITIATIVE!
7.) What lasting impression do you want to leave with your music & your work?
With my music, I wish to touch many souls who are deprived of those important aspects of real life, like love, equality, support, motivation, strength etc. And through work, definitely I want to encourage all those budding entrepreneurs, especially women, who are trying the hard way to get out in the world and explore and dream!
8.) Future plans?
To have the biggest umbrella under which I can undertake all those sports and music activities and help nurture the female talent and strength.
9.) Any shout outs to people you would like to thank?
I just want to thank all the people who are getting back up even after being knocked down again and again. Your strength is helping others, as an example. You all are making this world a better place to live in! Never give up! And yes, I want to thank all those people who support me in any capacity possible… of wishes, thoughts, love etc. Love you all so much!
