1.) What elements and/or characteristics made you say to yourself that you wanted to do music for a living? Who are your influences/heroes/role models?

I would say it has always just been a gift for me and my brother. Our biggest influences for music would have to be Lil Wayne & Lil Durk.

2.) If you could compare yourself to an already established artist, who would that be and why? If you don’t like to compare yourself, then music-wise, what separates you from other musicians?

There isn’t an artist quite like us so I wouldn’t really be able to compare ourselves to any one artist. I guess the thing that separates us from most is just our versatility to do whatever we want. There hasn’t been a song/sound we wanted that we haven’t been able to create. We can do whatever we want, We can make a rap song, R&B, country, whatever. When we drop music you could never guess how it will sound unlike 90% of artists’ today.

3.) Everyone in life goes through adversity of some sort. Is there anything in your life that has any influence on the kind of songs you write? What is the most difficult thing you’ve had to endure on your path to becoming a musician?

Trials and tribulations of life. How we grew up, love life, the people we love, all contribute to how we are influenced as far as music goes. The most difficult thing we had to endure would probably be understanding and accepting the fact that our family doesn’t understand music and believe its a long shot. After a while of no one truly believing in us we learned we can’t expect them to understand our dream. They think because they can’t do it we can’t but that’s not the case. We will show everybody in due time. Trust the process.

4.) How do you prepare yourself to write certain songs? What is your song-writing and recording process?

I feel like every time we interview they ask us this lol. Me personally I do whats called “Scatting.” A mix of words and different mumbles over the beat freestyled until I like a flow then I’ll write based off that flow and re-record. Coto on the other hand is a writer.

5.) Unfortunately the music industry is full of talented individuals who just don’t get any recognition for their talent and/or work. What do you plan to do to make sure you stand out and get noticed?

Put us in the booth with anyone and they won’t leave the booth the same artist they came into it as. This isn’t a talent race with us it’s an exposure race. We are superstars.

6.) Would you rather be on a major label or would you rather stay independent? Why or why not? In regards to the music industry itself, do you think that the traditional music industry model as we know it is dead?

Ehh currently we on our Master P shit. We ain’t signing unless a ridiculous amount is involved for a short amount of time and we keep our masters. If not then hell no. Maybe a distribution deal or something but I can’t see us signing. If we do, it would be with Young Money Or Quality Control that’s really it and even that’s a BIG maybe. The model of music changes with time. Always has, always will. Real talent is timeless.

7.) How do you think the internet and social media affected the music industry and how musicians are able to market themselves?

I think it’s easier than ever to blow up. Make a TikTok song and promote the shit out of it and you’ll see that artist sign a few months after. Our goal isn’t to be signed so I couldn’t care less about that.

8.) Social media is obviously an extremely important element in today’s world, especially when it comes to business, branding, marketing, etc. With that being said, do you think an artist will be able to survive in today’s music industry if they’re not social media savvy?

Yes and no. Yes because good music speaks for itself. No because fans want to be able to interact with you in some way if you’re not on social medias it’s hard to do that especially with the whole covid thing going on.

9.) Artists who try to make music for the general public and make more money are usually seen as “sell-outs.” Do you see it that way and if so, what do you plan to do to make sure your music stays true to your brand and make a good living at the same time without having to “sell out”?

We make whatever the fuck we want lol. Someone somewhere going to fuck with it. We stay true to ourselves, we can give a shit about what any hater thinks.

10.) Professionally, where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Hopefully a Icon/Legend as far as music goes and successful business men.
