Voctave’s Album: The Corner of Broadway and Main Street Vol. 2 Review

Everything good seems to be coming from Florida these days, and one such example is the sensational a cappella singing group called Voctave. For a genre that’s very difficult to excel in, Voctave makes singing a cappella look like easy talking in their latest album titled “The Corner of Broadway and Main Street Vol.2.” Talented vocalists Tiffany Coburn, Ashley Espinoza, Kate Lott, Sarah Whittemore, Ej Cardona, Chrystal Johnson, Kurt Von Schmittou, Drew Ochoa, Karl Hudson, Jamey Ray and Aaron Stratton combined their intricate and gorgeous voices to deliver soul-uplifting and inspiring sound that leaves fans craving for more of the same.

The band kicks off the album’s melodic and lowdown 16-track tunes with Disney Parks Medley, an instant hit. The vocal arrangements and scintillating transition in sync and rhythm, coupled with the straightforward and sing-along lyrics in this track, gives the entire album bait challenging to ignore.

Think paradise is up in the cloud? Wrong. From the eyes of Pure Imagination, Voctave says you can see heaven by just taking a view of it around you. Candidly spoken.

The Trolley Song delivers a fast-paced sync rendition that reminds us of the “Sound of Music” movie back in the good old days.

Responsibility comes when you realize that Children Will Listen. Becoming an excellent example to the younger and upcoming generation is something this track wants us to take seriously.

With Disney 90’s TV Medley, Voctave delivers another nostalgic and relishing moment that you would want to go back in the hands of time. No doubt, it’s one of the best tracks in the album. Featuring the award-winning Kirstin Maldonado, Voctave again delivers another soul-awakening rendition in Show Yourselfa song that encourages us to live open-mindedly, irrespective of long, buried secrets. And once you’ve learned to live free, you can Climb Every Moment to attain your dreams that you dream like Minneapolis.

With the Prince of Egypt Medley track, Voctave showcases their multitalented artistic prowess to sing all forms of music. The high-pitch and soul–touching soprano on the song’s intro, coupled with the meaningful and powerful lyrics, makes it a candidate for the Grammy and top-of-the Billboard charts awards.

The tone in I Know Where I’ve Been is a mellower but powerful song. It presupposes that you can see what lies in the future from past experience, but the struggle to get there is the price we have to pay. Wow!

When She Loved Me, the next track sounds just like its predecessor but conveys more emotions regarding unforeseen circumstances.

Voctave keeps the album rolling with Disney Heroes and Villains Medley, another super Christian-minded and soul comforting song that talks about the eternal rest for the righteous soul.

Tomorrow is something we will always think about. So never say die when you have nothing to lose hanging on to tomorrow.

The track, Remember Me is an emotionally charged song that encourages the keeping of good memories when circumstances, or situations put the tight relationship between two people asunder.  Make Them Hear You is another excellent song well synced with a sense of urgency to do something right.

No matter the travails you go through, even though you’ve tried but nothing seems working, don’t give in to Isolation. Always reach out your hand, and You Will Be Found. The thematic expressions and lyrical dive make this track one of the best three in the album.

Lastly, Voctave rounds up the album with Someday, one of the many faith-building songs that characterize this album. Though life isn’t fair right now, it would be fair to you someday because it can’t be unfair to you all through.

Voctave incorporated many Disney Medleys on this album, making the 11 great voices to project even better in their vocal arrangements. The lush carpet and rich harmony delivered in this album will make your headphones bounce in a happy and realistic mood.
