An artist with defined originality

Talented Rock Artist and versatile music producer Jon Rhoten have released his first-ever music album titled Rhoten. For an artist that wants to be original from the start, the tides could be challenging to navigate, but not for Jon. He has been actively honing his skills for more than 14 years, and from the context of the tracks making up the album, you can tell that this guy is a real talent. Unlike most new artists who find it difficult to shine without collaborating with an established artist in the industry, Jon Rhoten didn’t think that necessary. Every piece of the album is authentic, without help or input from other artists in the business. Jon did everything by himself, including the mixing and production. Little wonder the album goes by his last name.

Rhoten Album in Perspective

The Rhoten album is a four-track music masterpiece of a superb compilation of indie alternative and British Rock sound, with a piece of alt-punk creating captivating pieces of genres that boast the artist’s incredible perseverance and ingenuity.

The album opens up with the track Undone, which showcases Rhoten’s writing and creative production capability. The beat started with a psychedelic feel to the track, with clear vocals, and the electric guitar gives it that alt-rock edge touch that is typical of the rock genre. While it lacks that heavy rough rock jive, its dreamy and smothering vibe with backing keys gives it compelling energy that makes you feel like you’re in a marching band. The chord progression is complex but mesmerizing enough to make you want to listen to the end. It isn’t bad for an opening song.

The next song on the album is Sing My Song, which opens up with a bit of pace compared to the first song. Much of the song revolves around the acoustic guitar that dominates the overall sound. Rhoten’s gritty, raw and versatile vocals were once again visible on this track. You can feel that authenticity from the soulful and raspy melody of alternate music combo defining this particular track. Rhoten used the opportunity to tell his story and encourage everyone out there to persevere through the challenges that confront them. The song is very relatable and charming.

From the moment the vibe from Pathetic hit, you can easily discern that authentic rock style in its entirety. The bass is very much punchy on this track, and the electric guitars deliver a crunchy effect that matches the fast-paced lyrics, creating a typical rock song meant for a wild party night. Wordings like “So you think I’m so pathetic, it is you” make up some of the catchy hooks that characterize this track. Rhoten’s ingenuity comes much to life in the second round of the song when he starts to deliver that excellent, technical and distorted electric guitar skill that showcase his raw talent as an authentic star.

Rhoten rounds up the album with The Space That Binds, a song that pays tribute to the writer’s old psychedelic days. The track bears a dream-like vibe with a layback tone and soft vocals. It comprises soft keys, intoxicating guitars, and a synth-like background that gives the song a feel of the late ’60s and ‘70s. This spacey, cinematic touch to the track compels you to listen with an open mind. It is an excellent way to round up a wonderful and original album.

The Rhoten album showcases raw skill, genuine talent in creativity, and productivity. The album is available on major music sites like Spotify and Apple Music, where you can listen to the artist’s incredible solo skills.
