1.) What elements and/or characteristics made you say to yourself that you wanted to do music for a living? Who are your influences/heroes/role models?

I was influenced to music at a very young age as i can remember my dad dancing with me in his arms to the likes of Percy Sledge, The Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder but it all got serious back in elementary school when my classmates and i would beat beats on the lunchrooms table and kick rhymes raw off the head so at that point i realize that music was for me cause i would come home from school to do my homework to my favorites Rap artist at the time and when my older brother would come home to visit he would bring with him cases filled with Cassettes and thats how i would keep up-to-date with what was new.

2.) If you could compare yourself to an already established artist, who would that be and why? If you don’t like to compare yourself, then music-wise, what separates you from other musicians?

To tell you the true i would be lying if i was to try to compare myself to an already established artist because when you listen to my music it would sound like a disaster stroke in the way that i mix and flow an when I’m in production i make sure to destroy every element with distortion and heavy bass so i don’t know who would be so Loco and Crazy to release that raw undiluted.

3.) Everyone in life goes through adversity of some sort. Is there anything in your life that has any influence on the kind of songs you write? What is the most difficult thing you’ve had to endure on your path to becoming a musician?

Ok back in the late 90’s just after high school i had my foot in the doors to the recording industry but i was also messing with the wrong crowds smoking weed and getting into trouble so i had to hit the panic button and joined the Military and by doing that i lost contacts with some of my connects so now i have no distractions an the kind of music i create is to sound like a bat out of hell and sound like I’m in a battlefield with the music rapping about the girls, the money and dissing a soundboi.

4.) How do you prepare yourself to write certain songs? What is your song-writing and recording process?

The whole recording process for me begins first thing in the morning i try not to eat breakfast before i create the songs. I like my production to sound raw, rugged and tough so by me doing this its hard for me to sound like anything out now then once i have the beat i spit the rhymes off my head and if i do write its the hook then i freestyle the verses so when you hear my production you know that i did it. My creation is the song on my levels not on someone else’s.

5.) Unfortunately the music industry is full of talented individuals who just don’t get any recognition for their talent and/or work. What do you plan to do to make sure you stand out and get noticed?

Yes its sad but for me my #1 plan is to stay in the studio at all times and keep negative people and stuff like drugs from around me because i have no time to get arrested cause stuff like that messes up the work flow and my #2 is to stay productive and releasing joints i believe in till i strike a nerve into someone are a group of peoples head who is willing to boogie with the kid.

6.) Would you rather be on a major label or would you rather stay independent? Why or why not? In regards to the music industry itself, do you think that the traditional music industry model as we know it is dead?

At this time I’m loving the idea of being independent i love being the boss like being in-charge of my every move on my own label. As far as the majors is concerned in the future i would do a major label thing because i don’t thing the traditional music model is dead and i would hate to think its killing itself.

7.) How do you think the internet and social media affected the music industry and how musicians are able to market themselves? Social media is obviously an extremely important element in today’s world, especially when it comes to business, branding, marketing, etc. With that being said, do you think an artist will be able to survive in today’s music industry if they’re not social media savvy?

To me the Internet is the bomdiggy i use it everyday 24/7 cause its the big deal to get my joints out to the massive, I think many artist can survive in todays music with the internet doing branding and marketing of their music its the key to the next level cause who knows a astronaut on the international space station might just buy a download of your song for .99 cents or $1.29 so yes its extremely important.

8.) Artists who try to make music for the general public and make more money are usually seen as “sell-outs.” Do you see it that way and if so, what do you plan to do to make sure your music stays true to your brand and make a good living at the same time without having to “sell out”?

Ok artists that make music and make money from it is not sell-outs i don’t see it thats way
not at all because if I’m a sell-out cause I’m making money then I’m a sell-out and I’m loving it. My fans and i know for a fact that i be dropping b@m*s on a regular and i plan to keep doing so on my music site at www.X-CaladePromotionz.com.

9.) Professionally, where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Well in five years from now its all up to the music, where it take me i will go hopefully to a nice crib with some new equipment, a banging girl, some mucho dinero and some fly ass rides :-). iight thanks for having me.
