Terry Adams Live Concert at the Bailey Brothers Stage in Birmingham

I was totally awestruck as I watched the live streaming YouTube Terry Adams concert uploaded by Bailey Brothers from their recording studio inside their full service non-franchised music shop in Montgomery Alabama on June 24, 2020. Beautiful musical chords flowing out of Terry Adams guitar kept me totally entertained and spell bound to my computer as that guitar pick slithered up and down the acoustics’ strings, creating music that captured my total attention. After watching the completely captivating concert keeping me under its spell for its entire duration, I switched my settings so the flowing music would be looping around several more times on my computer. Terry Adams easily flows into a wide variety of vocal ranges as he is on the stage entertaining his virtual audience by combining linking words in a smooth flowing tenor falsetto voice reaching from mid range to high falsetto musical style. His rhythm and blues genre style with an overall ballad tone creates the atmosphere of a live concert playing in my very own room very much like Bob Seger’s “On the Road Again” and “You look Wonderful Tonight” or the Rolling Stone’s classic masterpiece “Angie.”

Terry Adams “t-buff” founded the musical band “4 Years wasted” where he plays the lead vocals, guitar, harmonica and keyboard. His songwriting contains very life-like lyrics with the objective of involving and inviting his audience to enter into his personal experiences. All music fans are fascinated and have fantasies about sharing the mystikness of their beloved music artist’s life. Terry Adams loves inviting his audience’s emotions into his life experiences songwriting and singing, with carefully selected lyrics the majority of people can relate too.

An overview of each song:

Singing Loud

The song’s soothing melody will take your emotions on an up and down roller coaster, coordinated by the high, medium and low notes on the acoustic guitar. The overall tempo of the song is in a 2/4 time signature, with more notes between the bars. Deep bass with a mixture of high notes can be heard throughout the song. Some of the lyrics do not come out sounding clear; for example the words’ “singing loud” is heard as “this ain’t love.” However, being unrefined by music producers arrangers actually makes the song more appealing and ‘real’ to me.

Good Last Name

Get your emotions lost in this soothing masterpiece, as Adams sings about lifelong lessons in this song. You will feel emotional as the front register head voice is primarily used to bring these tunes to your listening pleasure. The musical arrangement is composed of high to low notes in a 2/4 time beat.

Rainbow Inn

Multiple keys are arranged in this production so that the upbeat notes and underlying pulse creates an audible illusion of multiple instruments being played from this single guitar. The deep bass is definitely emphasized in this song. The song is available through Spotify under Matt Bennett. His voice gets very emotional in this song.

Loving our Stereo

The underlying beat comes in a 2/4 time signature frequency. Musical strings are flowing smoothly and are stopped sharply by keeping in time with the sudden unexpected beat of a 2/4 time signature giving the overall tone of the song a mix of snappy yet melodic tunes. Terry Adams is incredibly skilled at creating multiple instrumental sounds from a solo guitar. This song enthralls and holds its audience from beginning to end.

Never Look Back

The last song he sang at the Bailey Brothers live stage was “Never look back.” The song talks about all the hard times he went through when he quit his job to focus on playing music. His electricity got turned off. His son could not understand why. He sings about chasing his dream just to pay the bills as he is letting down his family financially. The guitar tunes are played using predominantly high notes. He looks forward to happier times coming in the future saying they will never look back.

Bailey Brothers

The talented team at Bailey Brothers are constantly solving problems and overcoming obstacles that would prevent talented musicians from getting their music to us. Two brothers named Paul Bailey and Clay Bailey realized that Alabama’s hard working brilliant musicians very much needed a more convenient place to purchase professional quality musical instruments.

Musicians had to drive to another state to buy their music band and concert instruments before Bailey Brothers opened. To help fill this need, they opened up an independent full-service music store in Montgomery Alabama in 1986. Today Bailey Brothers still serves musicians living in and traveling through the Birmingham and Montgomery Alabama areas. Everyone else can also shop directly on the Bailey Brothers website from just about anywhere.

Bailey Brothers music store provides the largest variety of musical instruments and services in the south. They are independently owned, allowing them to carry any and all brands of musical products their customers want.

Bailey Brothers continues to help musicians by opening their stage for fully live concerts reaching us into our homes over our computers, phones, tablets and anything hooked up to the Internet during this time of social distancing. Check out their full lineup of live concerts on YouTube and be sure to leave a comment showing your support for Indie artists.
