1.) Tell me all about yourself?

My name is Borris.

I created King Borris as the better version of myself. I consider myself a man of many hats. I have worked in different industries which have all contributed to my skill set today. From sales to factory workers. From drug dealer to working for myself legally. (Kind of ) I have done a hand full of jobs. 1 year I had 9 different jobs. That was an interesting tax year.

I always wanted to work for me. Make my own rules and show others it can be done. If I could do it, anyone can do it for sure.

2.) What elements and/or characteristics made you say to yourself that you wanted to do entrepreneurship for a living? Who are your influences/heroes/role models?

Honestly, I can’t put a name to what I do. I am a business owner, an employee, a mentor, an influencer and many other things.

What I can say is I don’t give up. I keep moving and learning. Everyone has a skill that’s unique to them. I have the gift of gab. I can talk my way in and out of things. I have been around many types of people. In all types of situations. This has helped me read people and situations. As I saw how people I looked up to move, I adjusted. Many failures along the way but I am still here. Still kicking.

I look up to people like Gary Vee, Tai Lopez, Wesley Virgin, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Joe Rogan, and Vladimir Ace. I have learned so much from them in a way that has helped my life along with my family’s life.

I always give credit to George Banos for changing my life. He gave me one of the most important lessons in life. I will be forever great-full.

3.) If you could compare yourself to someone who is already established in your line of work, who would that be and why? If you don’t like to compare yourself, then what separates you from other everyone else who does what you do?

Wesley Virgin.

Wesley has made many mistakes in life as have I. He never gave up. He found his “why” and “how”. Now he teaches people all over the world how to be a better version of themselves. How he failed is so similar to my story. What he does today is a very similar roadmap.

4.) Everyone in life goes through adversity of some sort. Is there anything in your life that has any influence on the work that you do? What is the most difficult thing you’ve had to endure on your path to becoming an entrepreneur?

I once used my employer’ money to buy myself and my friend’s electronics. It turned into a huge situation that ended up with me in court.

5.) How do you prepare yourself to create? What is your process?

Surprisingly there is no process. I just do. There are times I can’t recreate what I did because it’s always spontaneous. I do what I feel is right at that moment. I really would like to have a process. Something I can follow. I just don’t think that’s how it works for me. I feel that one of the things that is different than most. I just do. Majority of the time it tends to work out for me. So I just keep doing me.

6.) Unfortunately, many industries are full of talented individuals who more or less become the “starving artist” and don’t get any recognition for their talent and/or hard work. What do you plan to do to make sure you stand out and get noticed?

Thankfully I am in the process of standing out already. I make it a point to be authentic. To be honest with myself and others. This way I am consistent. When you fake it, you forget it and get caught. There are over a billion humans on Earth. There’s plenty of room for growth. It’s up to you to continue growing. When you move with passion, others will follow. I have been able to talk with and stand next to many different people because of my social presence. I focus more on relationships than business. The money will come. Relationships lead to so many different things besides money. Basically, the way I handle relationships and the perception I have created for the world to see is what has gotten me this far. I project who I want to be thus the reflection is always truth. It’s always me.

7.) Would you rather work for a big corporation or would you rather stay independent? Why or why not? What makes one better than the other? Are you able to make a living with your art? If so, how were you able to attain a career doing what you love? If not, what do you do in order to fund your business? What advice would give to someone who’s interested in pursuing a career in the creative industry?

I would rather work side by side with a corporation. I want to own what I do. I would also like to partner with a company that can provide the manpower and funds needed to scale what I do in a reasonable window of time. Sort of like Facebook when they got their large investors. I have many different branches to my network. The full company is The KB Network. From there it branches out to a few different companies. Media, Business mentorship, Merchandise and a few other things. I would be the primary owner of KB Media. The investor or company would be mine.

8.) Typically, entrepreneurs who try to create products and/or services for mass consumption for the general public and make more money are seen as “sell-outs.” Do you see it that way and if so, what do you plan to do to make sure that what you offer stays true to your brand and make a good living at the same time without having to “sell out”?

I think the people who call someone a sell-out are just hurt emotionally. They feel threatened subconsciously, so they try and pull down others to their level. I used to be a hater. I changed my view on these things. There was no benefit to me thinking that way. I am not bothered by other peoples’ opinions. It’s not important. My brand is an extension of myself. It’s who I am and how I operate. I can’t sell myself out. The more authentic and grounded I am, the more consistent I am. We are all human. No one gets off this Earth alive. We all bleed red. Treat others as you want to be treated.

9.) Professionally, where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

5 years from now?? Established. I will have a company that produces a constant stream of income along with employment. It will provide value while providing my family more than just stability. I will be able to scale up my charitable contributions. I had a lot of help when I was younger so I need to do the same for others. Providing value that helps other grow is my overall goal.
